plaque Gareth was unveiled at The University of Wales,
inscribed: ,
•“In Memory of Gareth Richard Vaughn Jones, born 1905, who
graduated from the University of Aberystwyth and the
University of Cambridge. One of the first journalists to report on
the Holodomor, the Great Famine of 1932-33 in the Soviet
Ukraine.”
•With thanks to
the UCCLA, the Ukrainian Orthodox Churches of
Great Britain and of Canada, the
Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain, the Ukrainian
American Civil Liberties Association, and other donors, the
bronze plaque is adorned with a bas relief of Gareth Jones,
prepared by Toronto sculptor, Oleh Lesiuk.
